TVK chief Vijay garlanded MGR’s statue in Madurantakam while kickstarting his campaign for the October 6 bypoll amid strict safety rules limiting crowd to 5,000.

Banka Superintendent of Police Amitesh Kumar said the video came to the notice of Bounsi Station House Officer (SHO) on September 22 and was subsequently verified to have been recorded in the vicinity of Mandar Hill.

The court further directed Meta to remove the alleged objectionable content from the social media platforms run by it, after getting the relevant web links of the images.
