Former President Trump’s campaign says it is leaving “nothing to chance” in the 2024 race but tells Fox News Digital it is “well-positioned to prosecute the case” against presumptive Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris and has been “wholly prepared” to do so for months. Harris announced her presidential campaign Sunday afternoon, just after President Biden announced he was suspending his re-election bid amid pressure from within the Democratic Party. TRUMP SAYS HE ‘WOULD BE WILLING TO DO MORE THAN ONE DEBATE’ WITH VICE PRESIDENT HARRIS Biden’s drop-out came as Democratic lawmakers, donors and celebrities publicly called for him to step aside. The leadership of the Democratic Party was reportedly engaged in efforts to convince Biden, 81, that he could not win in November against former President Trump. Biden endorsed Harris moments after his announcement. She now seemingly has enough delegate support to secure the Democratic presidential nomination. However, the change at the top of the Democratic ticket does not concern the Trump campaign, according to sources familiar. Sources familiar told Fox News Digital that Trump and his campaign have been prepared for months for Biden to not be the Democratic nominee. “The Trump team has been wholly prepared for every scenario, as evidenced by the memos and gameplanning done months in advance,” a Trump campaign adviser told Fox News Digital. “The campaign leaves nothing to chance and is well-positioned to prosecute the case against a weak, failed, incompetent, and dangerously liberal in Kamala Harris.” TRUMP SAYS BIDEN ‘IS NOT FIT TO SERVE’: ‘WHO IS GOING TO BE RUNNING THE COUNTRY FOR THE NEXT 5 MONTHS?’ The former president will continue his packed schedule of criss-crossing the nation for rallies with supporters, speeches and more. Trump also, in recent weeks, has been meeting and speaking with world leaders. Trump is expected to host Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Mar-a-Lago on Friday after speaking with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy last week. However, campaign officials said Trump’s schedule, campaign plans and engagements with world leaders would be happening regardless of who is at the top of the Democratic ticket, and that Harris entering the race has not changed anything for their strategy. Meanwhile, the Trump campaign has put out several memos since Harris got into the race, outlining how they plan to approach the new state of play. Trump campaign pollster Tony Fabrizio put out a memo on Tuesday titled “The Harris Honeymoon.” “The honeymoon will be a manifestation of the wall-to-wall coverage Harris receives from the MSM. The coverage will be largely positive and will certainly energize Democrats and some other parts of their coalition at least in the short term,” he wrote. Fabrizio warned that because of this “honeymoon,” public polling could begin to show Harris “gaining or even leading President Trump,” but he maintained that the campaign should not worry in the long term. “The Democrats and the MSM will try and tout these polls as proof that the race has changed. But the fundamentals of the race stay the same,” he wrote. “The Democrats deposing one Nominee for another does NOT change voters’ discontent over the economy, inflation, crime, the open border, housing costs, not to mention concern over two foreign wars.” WHAT’S NEXT FOR HARRIS NOW THAT SHE’S SEEMINGLY LOCKED UP THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINATION? Trump survived an assassination attempt earlier this month after Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire on his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Crooks’ bullet hit Trump in his upper right ear, less than a quarter of an inch from his head. Trump, less than 48 hours later, arrived in Milwaukee for the GOP convention and announced Sen. Anti-Israel demonstrators descended on Washington, D.C., on Wednesday ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to Congress. Fox News estimates that a few hundred protesters have gathered on Pennsylvania Avenue and 3rd Street, outside the Gallery of Art. They have a stage set up in front of the Capitol building and are currently chanting. The protest organizers include Answer Coalition and Code Pink. There have been numerous speakers from various organizations, including one from the Party for Socialism and Liberation. Fox News crews witnessed numerous signs with Netanyahu’s face, labeling him a “Wanted War Criminal.” Other slogans on signs include, “Stop the Genocide,” “Stop arming Israel,” and “End all US Aid.” The crowds have chanted “Free Palestine” and “From the river to the sea…,” an antisemitic phrase that calls for the elimination of the state of Israel. A crowd supporting the new presidential candidacy of Vice President Kamala Harris chanted “lock him up!” during her first rally as the presumptive Democratic nominee. “I was elected attorney general of the state of California, and I was a courtroom prosecutor before then. And in those roles I took on perpetrators of all kinds — predators who abused women, fraudsters who ripped off consumers, cheaters who broke the rules for their own gain,” Harris told voters at a Wisconsin rally Tuesday, according to a report from the New York Post. “So hear me when I say I know Donald Trump’s type.” The line was well received by those in the audience, who enthusiastically cheered before breaking out into chants of “lock him up!” BIDEN WILL ADDRESS NATION FROM OVAL OFFICE ON DECISION TO EXIT 2024 RACE The chants were reminiscent of those seen at rallies for then-GOP candidate Donald Trump during the 2016 election, when crowds would chant “lock her up” in reference to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Trump’s opponent that year. Four years later, similar chants were heard at former President Trump’s rallies in reference to President Biden, with the crowd chanting “lock him up!” after Trump slammed the Biden family as a “criminal enterprise.” Despite such campaign rhetoric, no federal criminal proceedings were ever pursued against either Clinton or Biden during President Trump’s time in office. The re-emergence of the chant at the Harris rally Tuesday highlights the Harris campaign’s early strategy to showcase the vice president’s history as a prosecutor, framing November’s election as a fight between her record and that of a candidate who was recently convicted on over 30 felony counts in a New York trial. THE RACE TO DEFINE KAMALA HARRIS, AS PELOSI ENDORSES HER AND NO CHALLENGERS EMERGE However, critics have been quick to pounce on Harris’ seemingly mixed record on crime. “During the Kenosha riots, she defended the rioters, and that’s in the swing state of Wisconsin, where that was very unpopular, we have to make sure voters remember all of these crazy things that she’s said, and she’s wanted to do,” a House Republican strategist told Fox News Digital. Harris’ record as a prosecutor was also widely panned during her 2020 presidential campaign, with critics pointing out the current vice president was particularly harsh on those who committed low-level offenses. “Sen. Harris says she’s proud of her record as a prosecutor and that she’ll be a prosecutor president, but I’m deeply concerned about this record,” former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, who was at the time was a Democratic primary opponent of Harris, said during a 2020 presidential debate. “There are too many examples to cite, but she put over 1,500 people in jail for marijuana violations and then laughed about it when she was asked if she ever smoked marijuana.” The Harris campaign did not immediately respond to a Fox News Digital request for comment. Top Jewish Republican group criticizes Harris for ‘snubbing’ Israeli leader Netanyahu’s speech to Congress
EXCLUSIVE: A top grassroots group that represents Jewish Republicans is taking aim at Vice President Kamala Harris for being absent from Wednesday’s speech by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in front of a joint meeting of Congress. The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC), in an announcement shared first with Fox News, is launching a five-figure digital ad buy in key general election swing states that accuses the vice president and presumptive Democratic presidential nominee for “snubbing” the Israeli leader’s address to Congress. The speaker of the House and the vice president, in the constitutional role as president of the Senate, usually preside over joint meetings and sessions of Congress. However, Harris will be notably absent while Netanyahu is addressing Congress. The vice president will instead be attending a previously scheduled luncheon with the Zeta Phi Beta sorority. HARRIS IN INDIANA AS NETANYAHU ADDRESSES CONGRESS The vice president and President Biden will meet with Netanyahu separately on Thursday. Harris, who is now the Democratic Party’s 2024 presumptive nominee after Biden ended his re-election bid and endorsed his vice president on Sunday, is seen as slightly more sympathetic to the Palestinian cause than her boss amid the nearly 10-month-long war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. Additionally, while Haris is the most high-profile Democrat not to attend Nentayahu’s speech, she is far from alone. Many Democrats in Congress, including some top figures including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, will also skip the address, as they protest the Israeli leader’s prosecution of the war in Gaza. “Instead of supporting America’s strongest ally by attending Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech to Congress, Kamala Harris decides to go a sorority luncheon,” the narrator in the RJC’s ad says. “A sorority luncheon. She can’t be serious.” “Kamala Harris: Her priorities are not our priorities,” the narrator concludes. TOP JEWISH GOP GROUP MAKES BIG MOVE TO BACK TRUMP RJC CEO Matt Brooks told Fox News that the ads will run “in key battleground states, targeting Jewish voters utilizing the best data operation in politics.” Brooks argued that “Vice President Kamala Harris, as President of the US Senate, should be in attendance to preside over the chamber. Harris has totally failed her first test as a candidate for President of the United States – and the RJC will hold her accountable.” Harris is not the only member of a national ticket in the 2024 election who will be missing Netanyahu’s speech. Republican Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, the GOP vice presidential nominee, will also be absent. Trump campaign senior adviser Jason Miller said that the former president’s running mate had “duties to fulfill” on the campaign trail. The RJC remained neutral in the GOP presidential nomination race. However, after Trump clinched the nomination, the RJC in May announced that it was committed to raising a minimum of $5 million — from its donors and from its RJC Victory Fund super PAC — to help elect Trump. MILWAUKEE – Vice President Kamala Harris energized a crowd of eager voters in one major battleground state rooting for her November success, just a week after former President Trump accepted the Republican Party’s nomination in the same city and two days after President Biden withdrew his Democratic nomination amid internal party pressure. While the president’s abrupt move via a post on X to suspend his re-election campaign took Democratic voters by surprise, they told Fox News Digital they are “excited” that Harris is slated to secure the nomination next month at the DNC and believe she’s the best candidate to beat Trump in November. “Well, I’m excited now,” Amy Turkoski, a spokesperson for the teacher’s union, Madison Teachers Inc., told Fox News Digital at the Milwaukee rally. “On Sunday, I was just shocked and confused, and yesterday, I still felt shocked and confused. However, independents – who are being closely watched this election cycle – backed Trump 46%-32% over Harris, with one in five undecided. In a multi-candidate field, the poll indicated Harris and Trump deadlocked at 42% support, with Democrat turned independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. at 7% and Green Party candidate Jill Stein and independent Cornel West each at 1%. KAMALA HARRIS SAYS TRUMP PICKED JD VANCE TO BE ‘RUBBER STAMP’ FOR FORMER PRESIDENT’S ‘EXTREME AGENDA’ “I’m extremely excited about Kamala Harris,” rallygoer Lester Pines, an attorney, told Fox News Digital. “She is articulate. She is incredibly smart. And she is the most telegenic Democratic candidate we’ve had in decades. BLACK LIVES MATTER SAYS DEMS ARE ‘PARTY OF HYPOCRITES’ FOR ‘INSTALLING’ HARRIS SANS ‘PUBLIC VOTING PROCESS’ Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez was also among the crowd showing support for Harris, telling Fox News Digital “the energy and the electricity in this room was palpable.” “People are so excited to be able to go knock on doors for her, to go make those phone calls, register people to vote,” Rodriguez said. “The road to the White House goes through Wisconsin, and she’s going to win this state. GOP looks to revoke visas from participants in violent protests ahead of Netanyahu address
FIRST ON FOX: Ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to a joint session of Congress on Wednesday, Republicans are hoping to advance legislation that would revoke visas from people who participate in violent protests, such as anti-Israel and sometimes pro-Hamas demonstrations that took place earlier this year on college campuses across the country. Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., led the introduction of a bill on Wednesday that would strip noncitizens of their immigration visas if they are participants in demonstrations at universities or religious institutions and convicted of crimes during them. It would additionally strip visas from those convicted of crimes when federal monuments or memorials are defaced, vandalized or destroyed. ISRAELI PM NETANYAHU TO ADDRESS CONGRESS AMID HIGH-PROFILE ABSENCES Those who block highways, roads, bridges or tunnels as a form of protest would also lose their visas. “The Biden administration’s inaction against pro-Hamas mobs has only emboldened these extremists. This bill makes clear that a green card does not give individuals the right to break our laws in support of anti-Semitic views,” Cotton said in a statement to Fox News Digital. KAMALA HARRIS TO SKIP NETANYAHU’S ADDRESS TO CONGRESS, WHILE TOP DEM SENATOR BOYCOTTS ALTOGETHER In the spring, a highly covered encampment sprung up on Columbia University’s campus in New York City, which participants said was to express solidarity for Palestinian people in Gaza. The resulting demonstrations frequently featured antisemitic and anti-Israel sentiment and messaging. The war between Israel and the terrorist group Hamas began in October 2023 following the latter’s fatal attack on Israeli civilians, leaving 1,200 dead and hundreds taken as hostages in Gaza. Israel has since launched a counterattack against the terrorist group and its leaders, who strategically hide out in densely populated areas and are known for using civilians as human shields. The demonstration at Columbia was covered extensively by the media and dozens of similar encampments and protests followed at schools across the U.S. JEFFRIES, SCHUMER ENDORSE KAMALA HARRIS FOR PRESIDENT Cotton’s latest legislation is co-sponsored by Sens. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., and Ted Budd, R-N.C., and a companion version was introduced by Rep. Jim Banks, R–Ind., in the House. “For months, pro-Hamas rioters have terrorized communities across the U.S. without consequence. Foreigners who come here to spread antisemitism, block highways, and deface statues and other public property must be deported immediately. Senator Cotton’s and my bill would do exactly that,” Banks said in a statement.
