Venezuelan migrants’ barbaric crimes come as Maduro refuses to take back illegal immigrants from US

The horrific murder of a 12-year-old girl in Texas, allegedly by two Venezuelan illegal immigrants in Houston, comes amid a continued block by the socialist Maduro regime on deportation flights of Venezuelans from the U.S. Two illegal immigrants, Johan Jose Rangel Martinez, 21, and Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, 26, face capital murder charges in the death of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray. They are accused of luring her under a bridge, tying her up and killing her, before throwing her body into a river. VENEZUELA REPORTEDLY SCRAPS US DEAL TO DEPORT ILLEGAL MIGRANTS AS SOME COMMIT CRIMES TO BE DEPORTED An Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) spokesperson said last week that both men are in the country illegally. Martinez was apprehended by Border Patrol in March and Pena was apprehended in May. Both were released on an order of recognizance pending their immigration court hearings. Their arrivals came after Venezuela in January stopped accepting deportation flights from the U.S. and Mexico. The socialist regime had started accepting returns of their migrants, whose numbers coming to the U.S. border spiked in 2023, in October. But the Wall Street Journal reported that it stopped the almost weekly deportation flights in February after the U.S. re-imposed economic sanctions it had previously lifted. Only about 1,800 had been deported on the flights up to that point. Biden administration officials had told reporters weeks earlier that they wanted to increase the number of flights to Venezuela, saying that “we do have the intention of ramping up repatriation flights to Venezuela” and that the administration sees it as a “critical part” of the broader immigration strategy. “It’s an important deterrent,” they said. BLOODTHIRSTY VENEZUELAN GANG TREN DE ARAGUA SETS UP SHOP IN US AS BORDER AUTHORITIES SOUND ALARM The U.S. is still able to return a limited number of Venezuelans to Mexico as part of an agreement secured last year, and Mexico recently reportedly won promises from Venezuela that it could deport illegal immigrants back to Venezuela. But the U.S. flights are still on hold. Overall, Venezuelan numbers have dropped since the highs of last year. According to Customs and Border Protection (CBP), there were just over 17,000 encounters of Venezuelans at the southern border in May, compared to 57,847 in December. CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF THE BORDER SECURITY CRISIS But the U.S. has faced continued issues related to Venezuelan migrants. Last week, a Venezuelan illegal immigrant accused of shooting two NYPD officers in Queens was arraigned on attempted murder and other charges. A Venezuelan migrant was charged earlier this year with the violent murder of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley. Officials and lawmakers have repeatedly sounded the alarm about Tren de Aragua – a violent street gang emerging from Venezuela that has seen increased presence in the United States. The gang, known as TdA, hit the headlines earlier this year when it emerged that the brother of the suspect in the killing of Georgia student Laken Riley had affiliations with it. TdA is said to specialize in extortion, kidnapping, murder and sex trafficking. Federal authorities have been warning that the gang is trying to establish itself in the U.S., where police are already linking it to organized crime. The FBI has also warned that the gang could team up with the bloodthirsty MS-13. Border Patrol recently announced the apprehension of 10 illegal immigrants with ties to Tda. Chief Jason Owens attached pictures that showed tattoos from gang members. “Salute me or shoot me,” one of the tattoos read.

DeSantis signs law banning ‘intentional’ release of balloons

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill on Monday banning the “intentional release” of balloons in the state. Lawmakers drafted the legislation to minimize the number of balloons floating over the coast and washing up on the state’s beaches. State Rep. Linda Chaney, a Republican who sponsored the bill, touted support from ocean conservation groups and cattle farmers alike. “Our beaches are the greatest asset that Florida has, and not releasing a balloon is an easy way to protect our waterways and our wildlife,” Chaney said. “A released balloon is damaging and there’s nothing good about it.” Chaney said DeSantis had some concerns about the bill, however, namely that it would ramp up fines for Florida residents. His office was particularly concerned that the law could be used to fine children, according to the Tampa Bay Times. RON DESANTIS TOUTS FLORIDA’S EDUCATION SYSTEM, SLAMS ‘WOKE’ ACADEMIA IN SARASOTA ADDRESS “He was weighing the environmental benefits against the potential for fining people, when that’s not what we really want to do,” Chaney told the Times. FEDERAL JUDGE RULES FLORIDA RESTRICTIONS ON TRANSGENDER MEDICAL TREATMENT FOR KIDS UNCONSTITUTIONAL The bill was ultimately amended to exempt children who are 6 years old or younger. “Floridians don’t want balloon litter in their backyard, at their favorite beach, or floating in local waterways, and neither do the hundreds of millions of tourists who visit the state every year,” Emma Haydocy, a spokeswoman for the Surfrider Foundation told the Times. Both ocean conservationists and cattle farmers say stray balloons can be mistaken for food by animals. Sea turtles and cattle have both suffered health problems from eating plastic that drifts into their environments.
Hunter Biden’s law license suspended following historic guilty verdict

Hunter Biden’s license to practice law in the District of Columbia was suspended following a jury finding him guilty in his criminal gun trial earlier this month. As of Tuesday morning, Biden is “suspended immediately from the practice of law” in Washington, D.C., pending a formal proceeding that will determine whether to uphold the suspension. The District of Columbia Court of Appeals E-filing system shows the order was filed on Tuesday. The Office of the Disciplinary Counsel in Washington, D.C., sent a letter to the D.C. Court of Appeals last week seeking to suspend Biden’s license after his guilty verdict on June 11. The suspension only affects his ability to practice law in Washington, D.C. HUNTER BIDEN FILES AND QUICKLY WITHDRAWS MOTION FOR NEW TRIAL IN CRIMINAL GUN CASE The D.C. Bar’s website still lists Robert Hunter Biden as being in “good standing” and “active” as of Tuesday morning, Fox News Digital found. The page shows he has been licensed to practice law in Washington, D.C., since 2007. Biden earned a Juris Doctor degree from Yale University in 1996 and previously worked for law firm Boies Schiller Flexner. Fox News Digital reached out to Biden’s defense attorney Abbe Lowell’s office for comment but did not immediately receive a reply. Biden was found guilty on June 11 of lying about his drug use when purchasing a firearm in 2018. He was found guilty on three charges: making a false statement in the purchase of a gun, making a false statement related to information required to be kept by a federally licensed gun dealer, and possession of a gun by a person who is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance. Biden had pleaded not guilty in the case. HUNTER BIDEN FOUND GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS IN GUN TRIAL Prosecutors worked to prove that Biden lied on a federal firearm form, known as ATF Form 4473, in October 2018, when he ticked the “No” box when asked if he is an unlawful user of substances or addicted to controlled substances. Biden has a long history of drug abuse, which was underscored in his 2021 memoir “Beautiful Things.” The book was repeatedly referenced by both prosecutors and Biden’s defense team amid the nearly seven-day trial. The memoir walks readers through Biden’s highs and lows with addiction to crack cocaine and attempts to get sober. HUNTER BIDEN TRIAL ENTERS DAY 5 AFTER TESTIMONY FROM SISTER-IN-LAW-TURNED-GIRLFRIEND: ‘PANICKED’ Lowell did not deny Biden’s long history with substance abuse amid the trial, instead arguing that on the day Biden bought the Cobra Colt .38, he did not consider himself an active drug addict. Lowell cited the first son’s stint in rehab ahead of the October 2018 purchase. Prosecutors, however, argued Biden was addicted to crack cocaine before, during and after he bought the handgun. In addition to citing Biden’s memoir, the prosecution team also presented the jury with text messages Biden shared with family and apparent drug dealers to prove his addiction around the time period he purchased the firearm. ‘LIKE A SON’: FORMER TOP BIDEN ADVISER WITH DEEP BUSINESS TIES TO CHINA SPOTTED INSIDE HUNTER BIDEN GUN TRIAL Just one day after the gun purchase, prosecutors showed the court that Biden texted Hallie Biden, his sister-in-law turned girlfriend, to say he was “waiting for a dealer named Mookie.” A day after that text, he texted that he was “sleeping on a car smoking crack on 4th Street and Rodney” in Wilmington. Three of Biden’s exes took the stand and testified during the trial, making court proceedings emotional at times. Biden’s ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle, who was married to Biden for more than 20 years and with whom she shares three adult daughters, was among those who took the stand and told the jury about her experiences with Biden when he was using drugs. “I was definitely worried, scared,” she said, describing how she would scour his car for drugs and drug paraphernalia to ensure their daughters would not drive the vehicle around with the substances. Biden’s ex-girlfriend, Zoe Kestan, also took the stand, walking the jury through Biden’s rampant drug abuse throughout their relationship, including him smoking crack in hotel rooms, stealing away to public bathrooms to smoke crack and how she helped pick up drugs for him. She said the crack cocaine he purchased often was the size of a “ping pong ball,” which he broke into pieces and lit up in glass pipes. Kestan testified under immunity. The jury took roughly three hours across two days to reach the guilty verdict. HUNTER BIDEN REVEALED TOP CCP LEADER WANTED HIM TO VISIT CHINA TO ‘DISCUSS BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES’: EMAILS Biden will be sentenced later this year, though no date has yet been issued. The law license suspension in Washington, D.C., comes after Biden’s defense team re-submitted a motion requesting a new criminal trial, arguing the federal court in Delaware lacked jurisdiction to go to trial earlier this month. The motion comes one week after Lowell filed a similar motion but quickly withdrew it without explanation.

‘It’s just obscene’: House eyes crackdown on US dollars going to Taliban

The House of Representatives is expected to pass a bill on Tuesday aimed at blocking countries that receive U.S. foreign aid from sending money to the Taliban. Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., introduced his No Tax Dollars for the Taliban Act late last year. If passed, it would force the State Department to report out which countries give aid to the Taliban – which has ruled Afghanistan since 2021 – that also get U.S. assistance. It would also force the secretary of state to weigh if those countries should keep getting American dollars and develop a strategy to discourage them from continuing aid to the Taliban. GOLD STAR MOTHER TORCHES BIDEN’S ‘ABILITIES’ ON AFGHAN WITHDRAWAL ANNIVERSARY: ‘REFUSES TO HELP US’ “It’s just obscene that any money would get to the Taliban,” Burchett told Fox News Digital in an interview on Tuesday. “We are $35 trillion in debt and do not need to be funding our enemies one bit.” He argued that foreign cash being funneled to the Taliban is, in effect, wasting U.S. taxpayer dollars. Burchett, the vice chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s subcommittee on the Middle East, also accused the State Department of being deliberately vague about how many federal dollars total have gone to the Taliban. FLASHBACK: GOLD STAR FATHERS RIP BIDEN: HE CHECKED HIS WATCH AND TALKED ‘ABOUT HIS SON MORE THAN MY SON’ “If this was an oversight of them, funding our enemies, that just tells you they have zero management and zero quality control at all, they don’t know what’s going on,” Burchett said. “They obviously – somebody knows what’s going on, and those people need to be out.” Since the Taliban took over Afghanistan nearly three years ago, the U.S. has provided over $2.8 billion to address the humanitarian crisis there, according to a Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) report released in May. TALIBAN PUBLICLY FLOGS 63 IN AFGHANISTAN, INCLUDING WOMEN, DRAWING UN CONDEMNATION Republican national security hawks were outraged, arguing that at least some of that funding likely fell into the Taliban’s hands. CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP “It is unacceptable for any U.S. funding to benefit the Taliban. The Biden administration must take immediate action to prevent U.S. taxpayer dollars from going to the Taliban,” House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul, R-Texas, said at the time. House GOP leaders are putting the bill up for a vote under suspension of the rules, which is generally referred for noncontroversial legislation that’s expected to get bipartisan support. Fox News Digital reached out to the State Department for comment on the bill and Burchett’s accusations.
