New Hampshire protester removed from Trump rally after rushing stage

A protester at a Donald Trump rally in New Hampshire was immediately escorted out after interrupting the event and trying to join the former president onstage. “Who is this? Is this a friend,” Trump asked during a rally in Manchester, New Hampshire on Saturday night.  Video from the rally showed a man who was wearing a black sweatshirt, reading “Kelly’s Roast Beef,” who yelled indecipherable phrases at the former president. “Get out of here. Get out of here,” Trump yelled. “You can throw him out.” ASA HUTCHINSON SHARES SUPPORT FOR NIKKI HALEY AHEAD OF NEW HAMPSHIRE PRIMARY, SAYS TRUMP TRYING TO ‘DIVIDE’ According to video from the rally, as Secret Service personnel and local Manchester police approached the agitator, the man looked like he was about to grab his jacket, but turned to walk quickly towards the stage. A Secret Service member, who was stationed beneath the staircase, stopped the protester in his tracks and the man was promptly arrested. As the man was being escorted out of the arena, Trump supporters booed and chanted, “USA, USA” at the protester. “Well, now we know that politics is getting serious, so now we know we’re getting serious,” Trump said as the protester was being escorted out. “Now he’s just a disturbed person.” The Republican presidential frontrunner said that protesters are only interrupting because “we’re leading,” alleging that billionaire George Soros pays the protesters at the rallies. “Remember that this used to happen all the time. But now, probably, we’re really now in the political season,” Trump said. “And a lot of those guys, by the way, are paid by Soros. So these people, you know, are troublemakers.” TRUMP MIXES UP NIKKI HALEY WITH NANCY PELOSI AT NEW HAMPSHIRE RALLY “This is only happening because of all the weaponization, because we’re leading,” he continued. Trump, who is running a third straight time for the White House, grabs 52% support among those likely to vote in next Tuesday’s New Hampshire GOP presidential primary, according to a Friday poll released by Suffolk University, the Boston Globe and NBC10 in Boston. Haley, who served as ambassador to the United Nations during the Trump administration, stands at 35%, with her support edging up two points since Wednesday’s survey. DeSantis remained a distant third at 6% for the second straight day. Get the latest updates from the 2024 campaign trail, exclusive interviews and more at our Fox News Digital election hub.

Florida Gov. He added that the GOP presidential candidate DeSantis will be, “traveling Sunday morning with the campaign and has public events scheduled Sunday evening through Tuesday” in New Hampshire, where the nation’s first 2024 primary will be held. Asa Hutchinson endorses Nikki Haley ahead of New Hampshire primary, says Trump tries to ‘divide’ country

Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson endorsed Nikki Haley on Saturday ahead of Tuesday’s Republican primary in New Hampshire. “Anyone who believes Donald Trump will unite this country has been asleep over the last 8 years,” Hutchinson wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “Trump intentionally tries to divide America and will continue to do so. Go @NikkiHaley in New Hampshire. #FITN.”  Hutchinson’s support of Haley comes less than a week after he dropped out as a presidential candidate after he failed to gain any traction in the Iowa caucuses.  NIKKI HALEY SUGGESTS TRUMP MAY NOT BE ‘MENTALLY FIT’ TO BE PRESIDENT AFTER HE SEEMS TO CONFUSE HER WITH PELOSI Former presidential candidates Vikek Ramaswamy and Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., have already endorsed Trump.  Hutchinson is the first former 2024 candidate to endorse Haley.  NIKKI HALEY STILL HAS ‘VERY SIGNIFICANT’ MOMENTUM AHEAD OF NEW HAMPSHIRE PRIMARY: JUDD GREGG Hutchinson has been sharply critical of Trump before and was booed last year after he said in front of a Republican crowd that it was likely Trump would be found guilty of a felony before the election was over.  He also said earlier last year that Trump should drop out of the race after he was first indicted on criminal charges, saying that it would be a “sideshow and distraction” during the election. CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP Haley placed a narrow third in Iowa to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis but is polling second in New Hampshire to Trump who also won Iowa. Trump, however, won Iowa by 30 points and has a double-digital lead in New Hampshire.

Russian lawmakers to debate seizing property of those who ‘discredit’ army

Russian lawmakers to debate seizing property of those who ‘discredit’ army

A bill to be voted on next week aims to confiscate assets of Russians spreading ‘deliberately false’ information amid Ukraine war. Russia’s parliament will consider a law allowing for the confiscation of money, valuables and other property from those deemed to spread “deliberately false information” about Moscow’s military actions, a senior lawmaker has said. Vyacheslav Volodin, speaker of the State Duma, wrote in a Telegram post on Saturday that a bill has been developed in an attempt to punish “scoundrels” who “pour mud” on Russia and its soldiers participating in the war in Ukraine, which is approaching its two-year mark. He said the bill will be submitted to the Duma, which is Russia’s lower house of parliament, on Monday. The proposed measure would apply to those publicly inciting “extremist activities” or calling for the introduction of sanctions against Russia, the speaker explained. It would also be applicable to those “discrediting” the armed forces, a criminal offence under a law adopted as part of Moscow’s crackdown on dissent after it sent troops into Ukraine in February 2022. Those found guilty also face being stripped of any honorary titles. “Everyone who tries to destroy Russia, betrays it, must suffer the deserved punishment and compensate for the damage inflicted on the country, at the cost of their property,” Volodin said. The existing law against “discrediting” the Russian military, which covers offences such as “justifying terrorism” and spreading “fake news” about the armed forces, is regularly used to silence critics of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Existing laws Multiple activists, bloggers and general Russian citizens have received long jail terms under the existing law. Popular writer Dmitry Glukhovsky was handed an eight-year jail term in absentia after a Moscow court found him guilty in August of deliberately spreading false information about Russia’s armed forces. One of the country’s bestselling novelists, known under the pen name Boris Akunin, was charged under the law and added to the Russian register of “extremists and terrorists”. In November, a court in St Petersburg jailed Sasha Skochilenko, an artist and musician, for seven years for swapping supermarket price tags with antiwar messages. The month before, Russian blogger Aleksandr Nozdrinov received an 8.5-year term for posting photos of destroyed buildings in Kyiv, along with a caption implying that Russian troops were responsible. Meanwhile, attacks on the ground continue. On Saturday, Russian forces shelled the southern Ukrainian town of Huliaipole, local governor Yuriy Malashko wrote on Telegram. Earlier, regional Ukrainian officials reported that one person was killed when Russian forces shelled the southern Kherson region overnight. In southern Russia, close to the Ukrainian border, an exploding drone hit a gas pipeline on the outskirts of the city of Belgorod, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported on Telegram, blaming Ukraine for the attack. The European Union said it will drastically increase ammunition production this year in response to Ukraine’s growing pleas for support. It also aimed to impose a new round of sanctions on Russia next month to mark the second anniversary of Moscow’s invasion, adding to its previous 12 rounds of sanctions. Adblock test (Why?)

House Dem tells mother of fentanyl victim she lacks ‘background to understand’ border chief’s impeachment

House Dem tells mother of fentanyl victim she lacks ‘background to understand’ border chief’s impeachment

Rep. Dan Goldman, D-N.Y., told a mother who lost her daughter to fentanyl that she was being “used” by Republicans during a House Homeland Security hearing on Thursday. Goldman’s remarks to Josephine Dunn, whose 26-year-old daughter Ashley lost her life to fentanyl-laced pills, came during the committee’s hearing titled “Voices for the Victims: The Heartbreaking Reality of the Mayorkas Border Crisis.” Dunn had been invited by Republicans to take part in the hearing and share the story of how she lost her daughter to fentanyl as Congress continues on with the impeachment proceedings against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Expressing his “sincere condolences” to Dunn for the loss of her daughter, Goldman said that he wanted to “apologize in some ways” to Dunn because she was “being used as a fact witness for an impeachment investigation.” BORDER PATROL SEIZED ENOUGH FENTANYL TO KILL ENTIRE US POPULATION THIS FISCAL YEAR “Obviously, given what your experience has been, you don’t have the background to understand what a high crime and misdemeanor is and how it relates to this,” he added in his remarks to Dunn. Goldman’s remarks drew the ire of Dunn, who told the Daily Caller News Foundation on Friday that the lawmaker is “unaware about what my understanding, about what my education, what my experience is in any of those areas when it comes to misdemeanors or high crimes.” “I have my opinions, and for him to assume that I want to just put more money into a system that has had plenty of money placed into it and is still broken is incorrect. Please don’t think for me. I have a brain, I can think and speak for myself,” she told the outlet. During the hearing, Dunn grew visibly frustrated with Goldman as he attempted to question her. “You would agree, would you not, that it would help to stop the fentanyl trade and fentanyl trafficking from coming into this country if we had more law enforcement officers at the border and more resources and technology to stop the fentanyl from coming in?” he asked Dunn. “Do you agree with that?” Dunn rejected Goldman’s premise, saying “Border Patrol is now being used to make sandwiches and to screen people and let them into our country. So I disagree with you.” Moments later, Dunn added: “I would like the border patrol to be able to do the job that they were hired to do. Every border patrol officer that I have spoken to has told me that their hands are tied by this administration and Mr. Mayorkas. I’ve been to the border, sir, have you?” Goldman responded that he was the one asking the questions at the hearing. TEEN DRUG OVERDOSES HIT RECORD HIGH, DRIVEN PRIMARILY BY FENTANYL POISONING, SAYS NEW REPORT Further highlighting the moment in a post to Facebook, Dunn wrote, “Pardon me sir, but you know nothing of my experience, my background or my understanding. Also, in all of my research, you have yet to travel once to the Southern Border of the United States. Is that why you avoided my question?” “Are you unable to return to your constituency and explain your lack of understanding of the border, lack of experience at the border or was it something else? I would think you could have heard what I actually said. Not what you wanted me to say,” she added. Last September, Border Patrol Chief Jason Owens announced that agents had seized over 2,700 lbs. of fentanyl as part of the more than 69,000 lbs of narcotics seized between ports of entry. The seizures also included 40,000 lbs. of marijuana, 13,000 lbs. of methamphetamine and 11,000 lbs. of cocaine.  That amount of fentanyl, which does not include the amount seized at ports of entry, is more than enough lethal doses to kill the entire population of the United States. While significantly more is caught at ports of entry – with over 22,000 lbs caught at the ports of entry at the southern border this fiscal year – the stat highlights the danger of fentanyl moving between the ports and potentially past overwhelmed agents in the field. Opioids were involved in more than 100,000 overdose deaths in 2022. Fentanyl is the most prominent opioid, which is produced primarily in Mexico, using Chinese precursors, and then trafficked across the southern border. The drug is 50 to 100 times stronger than morphine and is often cut with other drugs, meaning that the user doesn’t know that they are ingesting fentanyl. While opioid deaths have risen sharply in recent years, the Biden administration has pointed to data suggesting that overdose numbers are slowing and has tied that flattening to its drug strategy, which involves going after smugglers, increasing technology at ports of entry and providing additional funding for treatment and prevention within the U.S. But the administration has faced criticism from Republicans over its handling of the fentanyl crisis, particularly at the southern border, which they say has exacerbated the flow of fentanyl into the U.S. Some Republicans, including those on the 2024 trail, have called for military action in Mexico to take out drug labs run by the cartels. Trump mixes up Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi at New Hampshire rally

Trump mixes up Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi at New Hampshire rally

Former President Donald Trump appeared to confuse his Republican presidential primary opponent former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., at a rally in New Hampshire on Friday. Speaking in Concord, Trump said that Haley, his former ambassador to the United Nations, had been responsible for the collapse of Capitol Hill security during the January 6, 2021, riot. Trump has previously blamed Pelosi for turning down National Guard support before the riot. During his speech, Trump remarked that Haley’s crowd sizes at campaign events in the Granite State were small compared to his, before going off on a tangent about the crowd size at his January 6 rally in 2021.  “You know, by the way, they never report the crowd on January 6, you know, Nikki Haley. Nikki Haley, Nikki Haley, you know, they — did you know they destroyed all the information and all of the evidence. Everything. Deleted and destroyed all of it, all of it, because of lots of things, like Nikki Haley is in charge of security. We offered 10,000 people, soldiers, National Guard. So whatever they want, they turned it down. They don’t want to talk about that. These are very dishonest people,” Trump said. TRUMP SAYS NIKKI HALEY ‘PROBABLY’ NOT HIS CHOICE FOR VICE PRESIDENT Trump’s repeated mentions of Haley appear to be mistaken references to Pelosi. In September, Trump gave an interview to NBC News during which he said Pelosi “is responsible for January 6.” “Nancy Pelosi was in charge of security. She turned down 10,000 soldiers. If she didn’t turn down the soldiers, you wouldn’t have had January 6,” he told NBC’s “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker during the rare sit-down interview at Trump’s golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey. Trump declined to answer whether he had called military or law enforcement that day, saying, “I behaved so well, I did such a good job, Nancy Pelosi turned down 10,000 soldiers . . . if she didn’t do that . . . ” Welker challenged Trump that Pelosi did not have the authority he had as commander in chief. Pelosi’s office told Fox News Digital at the time that Trump’s allegations “are completely made up.”  TRUMP ALLEGES PELOSI TURNED DOWN 10,000 SOLDIERS AHEAD OF CAPITOL RIOT: ‘SHE’S RESPONSIBLE FOR JAN 6′ The decision on whether to call National Guard troops to the Capitol is made by what is known as the Capitol Police Board, which is made up of the House sergeant at arms, the Senate sergeant at arms and the architect of the Capitol. The board decided not to call the Guard ahead of January 6 but did eventually request assistance after the rioting had already begun, and the troops arrived several hours later, according to the Associated Press. The House sergeant at arms reported to Pelosi, and the Senate sergeant at arms reported to Sen. Mitch McConnell, a Republican who was then Senate majority leader. The officials on the board, along with the former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund, have disputed each other’s accounts of who requested the Guard and when. Both sergeants at arms and the police chief resigned immediately after the attack. The Democrat-led January 6 House Committee never subpoenaed Pelosi. Sund claimed to the Washington Post in an interview that he had requested assistance six times ahead of and during the attack on the Capitol, but each of those requests was denied or delayed. He claimed that House Sergeant-at-Arms Paul Irving had been concerned with the “optics” of declaring an emergency ahead of the demonstrations and rejected a National Guard presence. NIKKI HALEY SAYS SHE DOESN’T WANT CHRISTIE’S ENDORSEMENT, DOESN’T THINK SHE NEEDS IT Haley reacted to the mix-up at a campaign event in Keene, New Hampshire, on Saturday.  “Last night, Trump is at a rally, and he’s going on and on, mentioning me multiple times as to why I didn’t take security during the Capitol riots. Why didn’t I handle January 6 better? I wasn’t even in D.C. on January 6th! I wasn’t in office then,” Haley told the crowd.  “They’re saying he got confused, that he was talking about something else, he was talking about Nancy Pelosi. He mentioned me multiple times in that scenario,” she said, raising concerns that Trump may not be “mentally fit” to handle the pressure of the presidency. Trump will turn 78 in June and, should he win a second term as president, finish his time in the White House at age 82. President Biden is currently 81 years old and would be 86 if he leaves office after completing a second term. Haley has previously called for mental competency tests for office holders over the age of 75. In September, she referred to the United States Senate as the “most privileged nursing home in the country,” and she has questioned whether Biden and Trump are fit to serve as president at their respective ages. The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Fox News Digital’s Danielle Wallace contributed to this report. Nikki Haley suggests Trump may not be ‘mentally fit’ to be president after he seems to confuse her with Pelosi

Nikki Haley suggests Trump may not be ‘mentally fit’ to be president after he seems to confuse her with Pelosi

Former South Carolina Gov. and Republican candidate for president Nikki Haley on Saturday suggested that former President Trump may not be “mentally fit” after he seemed to confuse her with ex-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., while discussing the Jan. 6 riot.  “Last night Trump is at a rally and he’s going on and on, mentioning me multiple times as to why I didn’t take security during the Capitol riots. Why I didn’t handle Jan. 6 better. I wasn’t even in D.C. on Jan. 6. I wasn’t in office then,” Haley told supporters at a rally in Keene, New Hampshire, in anticipation of the state’s first-in-the-nation presidential primary Tuesday. She continued, “They’re saying he got confused, that he was talking about something else, he’s talking about Nancy Pelosi. He mentioned me multiple times in that scenario.”  She said she didn’t want to say anything “derogatory” about Trump, “but when you’re dealing with the pressures of the presidency, we can’t have someone else that we question whether they’re mentally fit to do this. We can’t,” she added, referring to suggestions that President Biden isn’t mentally fit.  TRUMP SAYS HALEY ‘PROBABLY’ NOT HIS CHOICE FOR VICE PRESIDENT While speaking in Concord, New Hampshire, Friday evening, Trump told his crowd, “By the way, they never report the crowd on Jan. 6. These are very dishonest people.” Biden’s campaign was quick to post the clip on it’s X, formerly Twitter, “rapid response channel, with the caption: “Haley reacts to Trump’s delusional and confused rant last night where he suggested that she was Speaker of the House on January 6: He got confused. I question if he’s mentally fit.”  With three days left until the Republican primary in New Hampshire, Haley and Trump have stepped up attacks against each other.  Haley finished a narrow third to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in Iowa, but has surged past him in polling for the Granite State, although Trump maintains a double-digit lead in most polls.  CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP Haley, 52, has repeatedly presented herself as a younger, fresher alternative to Biden, 81, and Trump, 77, and said there should be a mental fitness test for anyone holding office who is over 75.  Fox News Digital has reached out to the Haley and Trump campaigns for comment.
