In sharp critique of police action on recent student protests, Supreme Court judge Justice Ujjal Bhuyan on Friday said detachment expected of police officers appears to be disappearing.

Swatantra Bhardwaj was arrested by Delhi Police in Bulandshahr on Saturday and sent to one-day police custody over the alleged assault of a protester’s father during the CJP agitation.
