CJP cancels Sept 5 march after Centre assures FIR withdrawal and compensation policy, Supreme Court welcomes decision.

The 28-year-old was found in a second-floor room of her house in Kusumba village, Rampurhat, on Tuesday afternoon. The deceased is the daughter of Mamata’s maternal cousin brother Nihar Mukherjee.

A bench, comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana, said the directive would ensure that the criminal cases did not cause “any harm to students or youths who participated in these protests.”
