Drivers are being asked 16 practical questions based on everyday situations, such as speaking to passengers about destinations, fares, routes, meters and CNG stops, instead of a formal language test.

The government has amended the import policy for raw sugar under the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023. It said the import of up to 10 lakh metric tonnes (MT) of raw sugar will be allowed duty-free under a Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ).

The exact cause of death is yet to be established, with the post-mortem report awaited. Police are examining the footage and questioning those present as part of the investigation.
