A software engineer in Hyderabad died by suicide after allegedly jumping into Hussain Sagar.

In a horrific incident, a tourist cruise carrying around 30 passengers capsized due to strong winds in the Narmada river in Jabalpur near Madhya Pradesh’s Bargi Dam, killing 9 people. The deceased people included a mother and her four-year old son, and their bodies were pulled out of the river.

Arguing for Khera’s anticipatory bail, senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi slammed Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma as a “constitutional cowboy,” saying Dr Ambedkar “would turn over in his grave” at such conduct. Singhvi called Khera’s custodial arrest in the defamation case filed by Sarma’s wife.
