The DRDO successfully carried out a high-speed rocket-sled test of a fighter aircraft escape system which reached a controlled velocity of 800 km/h. This test put India among the nations with advanced in-house escape system testing capability.

According to reports, the government of India has confidentially ordered smartphone companies to preload their devices with the Sanchar Saathi app. The government says that the app is intended to track stolen phones, block them, and prevent them from being misused.
