“This is an extremely unfortunate incident. I spoke with the doctors and the police. Two people have been arrested — the accused are from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. The third accused is absconding,” CM Shinde said.

The investigation focused on allegations that he had misused his position as Chairman of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority from 2000 to 2004 to assist Pyramid Developers with a slum rehabilitation project.
