Union Home Minister Amit Shah led the debate on Vande Mataram and blamed the Congress for India’s partition by saying that the ‘politics of appeasement’ led to the division of the national song and thereby the country’s partition.

In Tuesday’s statement, CEO Pieter Elbers once again apologised for the chaos over the last week. “We have let you down when a major operational disruption happened and we are sorry for that,” he said.

Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, claimed the ECI has no answer to the allegations he made about bogus electors on the voter rolls in several states. Gandhi has earlier held a number of press conferences levelling “vote theft” allegations against the BJP government.
