Indian Railways has made Aadhaar verification mandatory for booking reserved tickets via IRCTC between 8 AM and 10 AM from October 28, 2025. The move aims to curb bulk bookings, prevent misuse by agents, and ensure fair ticket access for genuine passengers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off four new Vande Bharat Express trains on routes Banaras-Khajuraho, Lucknow-Saharanpur, Firozpur-Delhi, and Ernakulam-Bengaluru. Built by ICF Chennai, these trains boost connectivity, cut travel time, and enhance tourism and trade nationwide.

At least one person died after massive fire breaks out in a Bngali basti slum near Rithala Metro Station in Delhi’s Rohini. One body was recovered from the site, while another injured person, a child, was rushed to Safdarjung Hospital for treatment.
