Activist Sonam Wangchuk preferred to label the protest in Ladakh as a “youth” demonstration rather than terming it a ‘Gen Z protest’. Wangchuk openly condemned the actions of youths.

The Centre alleged conspiracy in the Leh violence that took place during protest in Ladakh. It blamed activist Sonam Wangchuk for creating violence and cited ‘personal gains and narrow politics’ behind the violence.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off two new Vande Bharat trains in the state on September 25 at a time when he will be in Banswara. These trains will pass through key routes and will reach Delhi in less than what existing trains offer.
