Swetcha Votarkar, a television news presenter was found dead at her residence in Hyderabad on Friday, with police suspecting it to be a case of suicide. Swetcha, 35, had been living with her mother and daughter at an apartment building in Chikkadpally area.

Saquib Nachan, the chief of the Islamic State’s (ISIS) India operations, died at a hospital in Delhi on Saturday. Nachan, a former office-bearer of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India, had suffered a brain haemorrhage and was admitted to the capital city’s Safdarjung Hospital. Here’s more.
