The West Bengal Assembly Election results were declared on Monday. Soon after, reports and footage of violent clashes in the state emerged. On Tuesday, the TMC alleged that “BJP cadres hacked to death one of its workers in Birbhum’s Nanoor”.

The ruling BNP in Bangladesh has congratulated the BJP on its victory in West Bengal, hoping the result could help maintain and strengthen relations between the two countries. It also hopes that the two countries sign the long pending Teesta agreement.

BJP leader Suvendhu Adhikari’s personal assistant was shot dead in Madhyamgram late Wednesday evening. According to reports, he was fired upon four times. Doctors had declared him brought dead.
