After getting attacked by people during his visit to Sonarpur, TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee was admitted to a Kolkata hospital. TMC chief Mamata Banerjee visited him at the hospital and reacted strongly in front of the media.

The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place on June 3 at 4:05 pm at the Lok Bhavan in Bengaluru. The Governor’s invitation came after Shivakumar submitted a letter earlier in the day staking claim to form the government following his election as the Leader of the Congress Legislature Party.

The TMC has alleged that party leader Abhishek Banerjee was “attacked by a few BJP supporters” when he had gone to meet the family of “a person murdered by BJP.”
