Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta approved the decision during a cabinet meeting, according to a report by news agency PTI. In a statement, the city government said the move is “likely to benefit the airlines and common passengers.”

Speaking to the Indian diaspora in the Netherlands, PM Modi highlighted the need to urgently address the various crises facing humanity. “The world is dealing with new challenges,” the prime minister said at the event in The Hague during the second leg of his five-country tour of Europe.

The case is based on a complaint from a 17-year-old girl, who has accused Sai of harassment and sexual assault. Bhageerath Sai, aged 25, has been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
