In a statement on Tuesday, Gandhi described the paper cancellation as a “crime against the future of the youth”. Earlier in the day, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced that it had decided to cancel the NEET-UG 2026 exam and reconduct it on dates that will be notified later.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 got cancelled after allegations of paper leak and examination irregularities. The Rajasthan SOG arrested NEET paper leak masterminds Manish Yadav and Rakesh Mandavriya.

More than 22 lakh students had attempted the exam, which is the largest paper conducted by the NTA in terms of the number of candidates who appear on a single day and in the same shift.
