Wangchuk, aged 59, has been on an indefinite hunger strike for over three weeks demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over failures in the education system, including paper leaks.

Fresh violence has erupted at the Jantar Mantar protest site where hundreds of people have been continuing their agitation against the NEET paper leaking for over a month now. Security has been tightened and internet services suspended.

Union Health Minister JP Nadda on Wednesday said the government is ready to discuss everything related to the paper leak in Parliament and the opposition should present its views.
