The Supreme Court registry has flagged 14 defects in the INDIA bloc’s petition alleging voter deletions and irregularities in the SIR process, delaying its listing for a hearing.

The decision was taken at a meeting of party leaders at its headquarters, where it was resolved that AAP leaders and workers from across Delhi would gather at the party office to observe the fast on October 15.

Sources in the party said that while the EC has stepped up measures to bring back eligible voters whose names were removed during the SIR drive, the BJP-led government has earmarked bigger spaces like Ramlila Maidan for demonstrations and is willing to engage with protesters.
